Restaurateur Jeffery Chodorow spoke to the Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts students on August 15th, 2005. Chodorow met Culinary Academy’s own Nick Pasculli at the restaurant Nick manages, Foody’s in the Hamptons.
Jeffery Chodorow, a native New Yorker, graduated from the Wharton School with a degree in economics, followed by a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania. After great success in real estate, Chodorow opened his first upscale restaurant inspired by a meal at Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant in Los Angeles. Chodorow is the co-owner of China Grill Management and currently owns 27 stylized dining establishments across the globe. He found himself in the public eye through his involvement in the reality TV show “The Restaurant” opposite Rocco Di Spirito.
“Jeffery Chodorow’s insight into the reality of the restaurant world pinpointed the direct correlation between what is customer service and what is customer satisfaction. His knowledge and experience only reinforces what our students here are Culinary Academy are learning daily,” stated Chef Robery Erlich, instructor of Commercial Cooking at Culinary Academy. Students mentioned that they enjoyed his insight to the restaurant business and viewed Chodorow as a visionary business man who stressed common sense, detail and a genuine love of people.
