Diploma in Medical Assisting - The Diploma in Medical Assisting online program is comprised solely of the core courses required for individuals seeking entry-level employment in the field of Medical Assisting. This diploma requires 50 semester credit hours for graduation and takes 12 months to complete. Career opportunities for online Diploma program graduates include Medical Assistant, Assistant, Medical Secretary, Admitting Clerk and Medical Administrative Assistant. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for both the Certified Medical Assistant exam offered through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and the Registered Medical Assistant exam given by the American Medical Technologists association (AMT).

Diploma in Medical Billing and Insurance Coding - The Diploma program is comprised solely of the core courses required for individuals seeking entry-level employment in the field of Medical Billing and Insurance Coding. At 47 semester credit hours, the diploma takes 12 to complete. Career opportunities for Diploma graduates include Medical Billing Specialist, Medical Coder, and Insurance Claims Analyst.

Diploma in Medical Office Administration - The Diploma in Medical Office Administration online program is comprised solely of the core courses required for individuals seeking entry-level employment in the field of Healthcare Administration. At 41 credits, the diploma takes 12 months to complete. Career opportunities for Diploma graduates include Medical Office Specialist, Medical Administrative Assistant, Medical Records Clerk, Medical Secretary, and Admitting Clerk.

A.S. in Health Information Management - Health Information Management (HIM) professionals are experts in analyzing, managing, and protecting health information. As the healthcare industry continues its transition to electronic management of patient information, HIM professionals must also have an aptitude for technology and understanding of computer systems and electronic security measures. It is important for Health Information Managers to possess strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills. Graduates of this program are eligible to take the AHIMA’s Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam.

A.S. in Medical Billing and Insurance Coding - This Associate degree program builds upon the core courses of Medical Billing and Insurance Coding Diploma by incorporating the general education requirements required for this level of degree. The Associate is 67 credits and can be completed in approximately 20 months. Careers for graduates of the Associate Degree program are similar to the diploma, however Associate Degree graduates will have greater bargaining potential when seeking employment and promotional opportunities within the Medical Billing and Insurance Coding field. Graduates of this program are qualified to take AHIMA’s Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification exam.

A.S. in Medical Office Administration - The Associate of Science in Medical Office Administration online degree program builds upon the core courses of Medical Office Administration Diploma program online by incorporating the general education requirements required for this level of degree. The Associate is 62 credits and can be completed in approximately 20 months. Careers for graduates of the Associate Degree program are similar to the diploma, however Associate Degree graduates will have greater bargaining potential when seeking employment and promotional opportunities within the Healthcare Administration field.

A.S. in Medical Assisting - The Associate of Science in Medical Assisting online degree program builds upon the core courses of the online Diploma program by incorporating the general education requirements required for this level of degree. This program is also accredited through ABHES. The Associate is 67 credits and can be completed in approximately 20 months. Careers for graduates of the online Associate Degree program are similar to the Diploma, however Associate Degree graduates will have greater bargaining potential when seeking employment and promotional opportunities within the healthcare field. Graduates of this program are eligible to sit for both the Certified Medical Assistant exam offered through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) and the Registered Medical Assistant exam given by the American Medical Technologists association (AMT). B.S. in Accounting - This program incorporates foundation and upper level Business courses with a special concentration in Accounting. Graduates will be prepared for general business and accounting-related careers.

Bachelor of Science in Business Management with No Concentration -This program is specifically designed for those students with a large accumulation of prior college credits who would like to graduate with a degree in business. The Bachelor’s in Business Administration with No Declared Minor or Concentration program builds upon the classes transferred in by the student with foundation and upper-level business courses to ensure the student possesses a solid understanding of business.

B.S. in Business Management with a Concentration in Business Administration - Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management program will understand how a business functions, how to evaluate and maintain the productivity of a business, and how to manage and motivate the people who work in that organization.

B.S. in Business Management with a Concentration in Entrepreneurial Studies - The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurial studies degree (BSES) is designed to provide an understanding of the roles and responsibilities, functions, and challenges of today’s entrepreneurs. BSES students will take classes to increase their knowledge and understanding of the importance of entrepreneurial law, social responsibility, product development, and innovation. The goal of the program is to provide students with the basic knowledge and skills necessary to start a small business or develop an existing business upon graduation. By the end of the program, students should be able to develop a comprehensive business plan, which includes a well-constructed financial and marketing component.

B.S. in Business Management with a Concentration in Human Resource Development - In addition to the human resources specialization, graduates of this program will have a solid understanding of all aspects of business and will be prepared for entry-level human resources and business-related positions in any sector/industry.

B.S. in Business Management with a Concentration in International Business - The Bachelor of Science in International Business degree (BSIB) is designed to provide an understanding of businesses in a global environment. This program equips students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for entry level positions in international companies. Areas of focus in international business include marketing, banking, finance, economics, exporting, importing and cultural protocol. Graduates of this program should be able to identify the social/cultural, legal, political and technological barriers to international business; understand international trade and investment opportunities; and demonstrate how to manage international business affairs.

B.S. in Business Management with a Concentration in Marketing - The Bachelor of Science in Marketing (BSM) is designed to prepare students with an understanding of the complex relationship between markets and customers and the practical and theoretical skills needed to market a product in a competitive business environment. The core components of the marketing program concentration are advertising, marketing on the internet, consumer behavior, marketing research, marketing strategy, new product development, international marketing, professional selling and sales management.

B.S. in Computer Science with a Concentration in Software Development - The Bachelor of Science in Software Development online degree program is designed for those students wishing to pursue the programming side of computers. Software developers design innovative software for businesses and clients, and typically specialize in computer applications software or computer systems software.

B.S. in Criminal Justice with no Minor or Concentration - For those students with a large number of college credits earned from a prior institution, this degree allows for greater transferability of credits and does not include a minor or concentration. The core and elective Criminal Justice courses are still included in the curriculum of this degree.

B.S. in Graphic Design with No Declared Concentration - This degree employs an integrated and coherent approach that prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies required for a wide range of positions in graphic arts. The curriculum is focused on designing and producing work for print, the World Wide Web, television, cinema, multimedia, and digital entertainment. This degree enables students to specialize in topics appropriate for an entry-level position in interactive and graphic arts.

B.S. in Graphic Design with a Concentration in Print Design - This degree employs an integrated and coherent approach that prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies required for a wide range of positions in graphic arts. The curriculum is focused on designing and producing work for print, the World Wide Web, television, cinema, multimedia, and digital entertainment. This degree enables students to specialize in topics appropriate for an entry-level position in print design.

B.S. in Graphic Design with a Concentration in Web Design - This degree employs an integrated and coherent approach that prepares students with the necessary academic knowledge and technical competencies required for a wide range of positions in Web design. The curriculum is focused on designing and producing work for the World Wide Web, television, cinema, multimedia, and digital entertainment. This degree enables students to specialize in topics appropriate for an entry-level position in web design.

B.S. in Healthcare Management - Graduates of Herzing University’s Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management degree program will not only master the core health sciences, general education requirements, and specialize in a specific area of healthcare (such as medical coding, medical assisting, and medical office administration) they will also possess a solid understanding of business and management principles and how those are applied to the healthcare field.

B.S. in Homeland Security and Public Safety with No Minor or Concentration - This degree is ideal for those responsible for identifying potential terrorist targets and maintaining the safety of large groups of people. The core courses in homeland security & public safety and criminal justice are completed in this degree, including a capstone project in homeland security and public safety, first responder, fire science, terrorism, emergency management, industrial security, and incident stress management courses. For those students with a large number of college credits earned from a prior institution, this degree allows for greater transferability of credits and does not include a minor or concentration.

B.S. in Legal Studies - This degree is intended for those individuals wishing to possess a more advanced understanding of law than the Associate degree provides. It also incorporates some of the core business courses to provide a solid background in business administration. Graduates will be prepared for careers in legal administration, business, and management training positions. This degree is also ideal for those wishing to continue on to law school. Note: Only the Herzing University paralegal programs at New Orleans and Atlanta are approved by the American Bar Association.

B.S. in Technology Management with a Minor in Information Technology - Herzing Online’s Bachelor of Science in Technology Management degree program prepares students to manage other computer science professionals. In order to do this effectively, students must have a solid understanding of computer science in addition to business and management principles. Career paths for graduates include Director of Information Technology, Project Manager, and Chief Technology Officer.

B.S. in Technology Management with No Minor or Concentration - This Bachelor’s in Technology Management degree allows for a greater number of transfer credits for those students with prior college experience in a technology-related subject matter. This program integrates the student’s prior technology courses with business and management courses, preparing him/her for growth into a management role within the technical specialty.

MBA - The online MBA degree program prepares students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for management positions in various business enterprises. These career opportunities may be in areas such as accounting, finance, business administration, sales, marketing, human resources, information systems, and production or operations management. Application of theory and practice using case studies are emphasized through all courses.

MBA in Accounting - An MBA in Accounting is valuable in opening the door to top-paid positions in such highly competitive fields as financial management and financial analysis. It also provides the credentials needed to teach business classes at community colleges or career education schools.

MBA in Business Management -This specialty MBA prepares students for business management from both quantitative and qualitative aspects. International business and entrepreneurship topics are also included to give the student a well-rounded approach to business and management.

MBA in Healthcare Management - Declared as the nation’s largest industry in 2006 by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the healthcare industry is constantly challenged by emerging technology, government regulations, ethical dilemmas and insurance considerations. These rapidly-changing factors pose complex questions for healthcare providers, patients, regulatory agencies, HMO’s and insurance companies, biotechnology and pharmaceutical firms, and other health-related businesses.

MBA in Human Resources - An MBA in Human Resources can put you in a great position for career growth in one of today’s fastest growing fields. Overall employment in human resources, training, and labor relations occupations is projected to grow by 22% by 2018. Legislation and court rulings revising standards in occupational safety and health, equal employment opportunity, wages, healthcare, retirement plans, and family leave, among others, will increase demand for all professionals with a bachelor’s degree. However, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, a master’s degree or MBA is highly recommended for those seeking general and top management jobs.

MBA in Project Management - Project managers direct the teams of specialists needed to handle a wide range of assignments. These can include everything from overseeing the construction of a new building to developing a new product. Today, any complex venture requires qualified project managers who not only understand what needs to be done, but also can plan, budget, and coordinate the efforts of everyone involved.

MBA in Technology Management - Technology has continued to play an increasingly important role in business and is now one of the core components to every organization’s operations. With numerous IT-related updates, analyses and projects taking place at every company each year, managers with a thorough understanding of technology are needed to coordinate and supervise the implementation of these projects. These managers must also evaluate new technology, make recommendations to executive management, maintain the IT budget, and manage personnel in one or more technology departments. Information technology managers must be knowledgeable on the different types of technology required for projects and the skill set of the organization’s technical staff. In addition, this position may be responsible for online and network security.

MBA in Public Safety Leadership - This program prepares students with the necessary skills and academic knowledge for management positions in various business enterprises, with a concentration of courses in public safety leadership.

M.S. in Nursing With a Concentration in Nursing Education - This online graduate degree in nursing will provide students with the academic knowledge, skills, and expertise to become nurse educators in diverse healthcare and academic environments. The program is for licensed registered nurses with a bachelor of science in nursing degree who are interested in advancing their careers to become nurse educators.

M.S. in Nursing With a Concentration in Nursing Management - This online graduate degree in nursing will provide students with the academic knowledge, skills, and expertise to become nurse managers in diverse healthcare and academic environments. The program is for licensed registered nurses with a bachelor of science in nursing degree who are interested in advancing their careers to become nurse administrators or nurse managers.

M.S. in Nursing With a Concentration in Family Nurse Practitioner - A nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with specialized advanced education and clinical competencies. NPs often work in ambulatory, acute care or long term care settings providing primary and/or specialty nursing and medical care to individuals, families, and communities. This program prepares students to take the national certification examination and seek recognition from the Board of Nursing in their state to work as an advanced practice nurse.
